Isn't the lead character's name "Shinobu", not "Shinobi"?

Yes, it is my current pick for this year's Best Male Vocal Performance for English dubs, and Zac had a similar opinion when he reviewed the first volume. For Best Female Vocal Performance, I'm leaning towards Laura Bailey as Sana in Kodocha. (That whole dub falls apart if she doesn't do an incredible job in what is a very demanding role, but she's handled it beautifully.)

How she can possibly perform Sana's lines as fast as she does and actually match up with the lip flaps (I've watched, she's almost always dead on) when it's just normal lines is beyond me. When you think about the singing parts. . . it just shows how skilled Laura Bailey is.

Much like with Desert Punk, the pixalation is intentional and part of the joke, not because of any kind of censorship. It covers male private parts in one very brief scene.

Okay, thanks for the clarification.

I don't get why animators on occasion do these pixilated scenes. They aggravate me and seem a tad pointless and lazy. Like they couldn't figure out some way to do the same scene without the pixilation.

Or is the director I should be annoyed at?

Either way, if you say that they've made this part of the joke, then it should be tolerable. Thanks again for the information.

I've only seen pixelation used in regular anime for comedic purposes. It's not any kind of shortcut or bad directing.
