scruples: a feeling of doubt or hesitation with regard to the morality or propriety of a course of action.
i.e. not scuffles, more like disagreements |

It is confusing with respect to whose scruples, her own or those of someone else. Nor have I ever heard it phrased as minor [or major] scruples. Scruples are internal motivations, while the disagreement would be the external action that leads to an argument. Perhaps simply saying disagreement would have been more precise. |
