REVIEW: The Ancient Magus' Bride: Wizard Blue

Looking forward to this book's arrival in the mail. The other spin-off manga, about "Lightning Jack" was also very good.

I wonder about the Psalm 108 in the Japanese title. That particular Biblical psalm doesn't seem relevant to the plot synopsis. I wonder if the choice of "108" relates to the number of earthly temptations in Japanese Buddhism (it's one of those numbers that turns up a lot in magical contexts in manga and anime).

This review definitely makes me want to check out the spin-off. I’d also love more Ancient Magus Bride anime, or just OVA adaptations of the spin offs while the original manga builds a season worth of material...
Curious, is Ao Japanese like Chise? (Assumption based on his name)

I got mine from my local comic shop by preorder. You can get it from Right Stuf!. The have it listed currently. (You can get most anything anime or manga related that is current from Right Stuf!)
