Going to re-buy the new volumes of Mushok Tensei but, going to take a break from buying the novels until everything is cleared up with Seven Seas. Volume 6 and 8 are already in question too and I'm not going to buy any further until everything is cleared up.

Yeah, I'm also interested to see if they fix MT 3, 6, and 8. There were some cuts in those as well. Honestly it would probably take ANN doing a follow up article about those issues for them to make any changes.

For what its worth, it appears based on https://twitter.com/DistantValhalla/status/1374448243325562880 that Mushoku Tensei volumes 1 through 3 updates have begun rolling out on digital platforms (rather than just the first two which were announced), along with I'm in Love with the Villainess.

What about all the other volumes of Classroom of the Elite? Because they also have missing parts from the original novel, like internal analysis, descriptions and a lot of summarized text in general. From just a reader standpoint I exchange them . But as a collector , keep the original copies for sure .

I'm glad Seven Seas was caught, and forced to correct what they'd done. I'm also glad a lot of commenters here have the same reaction.

So, they're basically dead to me. I hadn't heard about this until now, but I don't think that I could trust them again. Changes made to subtitles are a minor annoyance, but at least there I can hear the spoken line so it isn't like I will miss out on anything.

Trust is earned, not given. I wouldn't trust any licensing company, as a general rule. It's really hard for me to justify buying English releases of printed works because so many companies do stuff like this. |

See these posts on j-novel forums; (note, this is about the novel, not the manga) https://forums.j-novel.club/post/123589 https://forums.j-novel.club/post/123824 Long story short, Seven Seas cut several big paragraphs in volumes 2&3. In addition to those larger deletions, all volumes have missing lines scattered all over when compared to the original Japanese text. That seems a whole lot harder to fix than a few simple deletions... |
