Let’s hope they can take care of the Switch Joycon Motion-Sense accuracy/drift Issue in time for the release because without accurate-aiming there will literally be Hell to pay in pitched-battles. Razz

On the other hand, hopefully the awesome techno track of the “Magician” Boss Fight will make a triumphant return for this remake! Very Happy

"My God."

Seriously, the silly voice acting is my favorite part of the game. I hope they give an option to play with those original voices.

Will this lead to another “Typing of the Dead” game, too? :)

I wonder why they've decided to port this over Scarlet Dawn, which is still an arcade exclusive.

Well the franchise is coming up on it’s 25th Anniversary that and the original game was only ever ported to the Saturn and Windows (and apparently phones). So make of that what you will if you’re familiar with Sega’s thing of not keeping masters for some of the games released on the Saturn.

Good, I haven't played too many House of the Dead games so far, but I've liked what I've played, so "Banzai" to this remake!

Because this is NOT a port. This is a full-on remake, and one that really needed to happen, as the original House of the Dead is apparently one of those games from that era that Sega may or may not have lost the source code for. At least, Sega had planned to remake HotD1 as a bonus with the Dreamcast version of the sequel, but apparently a lack of source code made it impossible for Sega to do in the way they had planned.

Also, this is being done by Forever Entertainment, not Sega. However, if this remake was to do good sales, I wouldn't be shocked if Sega would then consider bringing Scarlet Dawn to consoles.

Its getting close to the 25th anniversary, also House of the Dead never got a good port, the PC and Saturn versions were downgrades of the arcade original.

That and the saturn and pc ports weren't all that good to begin with. After FE is done with HOTD and Panzer Dragoon Zwei, I'm hoping they take on Panzer Dragoon Saga

They've stated from the start that Saga isn't going to happen. They're a small publisher, & the actual developer behind these remakes isn't any different, so arcade-style rail shooters are within their scope. An RPG like PD Saga is well beyond their admitted capabilities.
