Uhhh...as much as I love the idea of Digi Charat coming back after so long, why the hell are they having LIDEN films do the animation?! That studio is working on Farewell My Dear Cramer, which has really lazy, ugly, and awful animation that absolutely does not do the show justice!

Also, celebration of the Reiwa era? WTF, there hasn't been much of anything to celebrate over there due to Japan having constant state of emergencies, very little in the gaming side, not to mention the controversies due to western encroachment into anime and really bad Vtuber shenanigans in Japan that's becoming as bad as the regular idol industry.
This came at a really bad time.

I don't think it's fair to judge Lidenfilms' performance on Cramer (which is airing at a time that they're severely overloaded with projects) to how they'll be next year when the Di Gi Charat series will air. Not to mention it'll be a mini series so the resources will probably be spread less thinly for it. I haven't watched many things from them (I haven't seen Cramer) but they seemed like a decent to good studio to me (though it always depends on the freelancers in the end)

The real concern is that Di Gi Charat is really not fit for today's anime industry in my opinion.
Well, it's a mini series, so not like it really matters anyways.

I'm glad to see Digi Charat back but the original was also a series of short three minute episodes with very limited animation where all the humans were drawn as fingers.

Confused by that myself. It should fit in fine with other more recent gag comedies with modest budgets like Teekyuu and Skull Face Bookseller Honda. Unless they randomly make it a serious police procedural or romantic sports drama, I don’t see an issue. There's always room for silly cute things in anime land.
I don't know this studio, but I'm excited to see some more adventures from the PKO and DUP gangs. Especially with all the voices coming back. Now, excuse me while I go watch the Party Night episode for the 8 billionth time.
