Hmm only ps4, huh?
Will be probably censored beyond being recognisable from previous iterations. What a shame a switch or pc release would have been a must buy. Welp. |

I wasn't really sure if we'll get it as Senran Kagura is rather niche in the west, glad to hear it even comes out this year too.

Maybe it will get a Steam release once all of the DLC is out and just do like a Deluxe Edition. |

Recognizable? They only take the intimacy mode out from the last game. The game was still recognizable |

that's still a horrible thing to do... and also the actual next installment of SK got cancelled and its creator left because Sony wanted to do more censoring... |

More so than grope and fondle the female characters as (most of them) protest you doing it?
Which is an interesting take when you remember the SK games have been on Nintendo & Sony platforms meaning if he wanted to he could've easily taken the game to another platform if he felt Sony's policies were overbearing which obviously they weren't as evidenced by the POG/Burst remake being released on the PS4. Also 7even hasn't been cancelled officially so you might want to be careful with that.
You clearly haven't played many japanese games localized in the west have you? |

The Senran Kagura releases have only seen censorship in the intimacy mode in one title. Otherwise there's nothing censored in the games previously from their Japanese market iterations other than removal of the ages of the characters leaving them ambiguous. Japan got light bars over everything just like the West did (they would have been rated CERO Z if they didn't). Neptunia has seen a few mini-games removed, but of more concern should probably be the translation of the games themselves, which hearing most of the characters speak in the Neptunia games you can realize considerable chunks of dialogue are often removed. I realized a lot of the same in Aksys titles in English such as the Agarest War series. I was perfectly fine with Senran Kagura removing the intimacy mode on it's recent PS4 title release. All it really served for was to get hidden trophies and groping the characters with them clearly not liking it was really cringe. |

First thing, I couldn't imagine having a job to talk to Sony to tell them why are you censoring an adult game? I'm happy he left, he probably found a better job.
Now me and my friend are always talking and he sometimes he starts talking in traditional Chinese. I imagined that that is exactly what's going to happen in this Neptunia Vs. Kagura game. Neptunia brings the comedy and fun plot lines and a lot of grinding and easy controls. Kagura brings very difficult controls you can forget in a day, and strange weird teenager drama. But its fun, I thought the mix would make the best game ever. But I forgot, creativity is dead when it comes to selling games. That's why Indies are kicking every other games butt. I was looking forward to it, but I hope it has an option to mute everyone. at least give me the choice because I was really looking forward to hearing the Neptunia and Senran Kagura games in English and Japanese at the same time. That was going to be the first, but they killed it. I'm a big fan of both series, this is a nice punch in my gut. I shouldn't have expected much, its all about how cheap can I make the game. How many corners can we cut, and how much we can jack up the price compared to how little we worked on it. Next to the fact, censoring is not equal and some things should not be removed from a game because of how hard people work.... |

Eh? The only controls you can probably forget with these games is aerial raves outside of that the controls of these games aren’t terribly complicated.
No they’re not while I don’t know the amount of money indie games bring in annually I’d be willing to bet it’s substantially less than what even a single major gaming company brings in. Secondly many indie games are not terribly creative since too many of them have the problem (much like AAA games) of feeling too similar to some existing IP.
Censoring content in games has nothing to do with dismissing someone’s hard work especially if you’re censoring content that some may legitimately consider base and problematic. And suffice to say some of the content in the SK games is exactly that as much as others like to pretend it isn’t or excuse with “it’s a fictional game” argument. |
