Good to see Discotek still releasing titles that really deserve more appreciation. None of these ones are my thing, but I know a lot of people who'll be very happy to have them. I'm personally waiting for part 2 of Grimms Fairy Tale Classics coming out at the end of this month.

Man discotek does deliver cool stuff but I wanna know about Kodocha I really loved it back in the day and was so sad Funimation didn’t do season 2, so I’ve never seen it. The dub was a lot of fun all though for some reason they couldn’t pronounce the name Aya. The OG release was also one of those where individual disks were expensive!

I’m really excited for Kodocha and I read somewhere in the vastness of the internet Discotec was hoping for a release Q4 2021.

Anyway my most recent anime purchases seem to be a lot of older titles the rerelease of rose of Versailles, Dear Brother etc I have next to no idea what’s new in anime other than the big titles. I feel old. But thanks Discotek

I managed to get the single disks for vol. 1-6 then the boxset for the rest. But I can't wait to have the OG opening restored!

Glad to see Keroro getting some home video love. Nice too that they're including the dub, for what exists anyway. I'm not too sad about the prospect of sub only releases following from there tbf (I'm just glad it'll be available in the first place), but it's nice that they went out of their way when they could have decided to entirely forgo it.

I am too and I've never heard of the show before Discotek announced they had gotten it. It was one of their biggest "gets" from what I heard so naturally I'm curious.

Getting Sgt Frog and maybe City Hunter since it's in one set now. Might get Lupin Part 5 down the line along with Hajime no Ippo.

Ooh, I've been waiting for Part 5 to get a Blu-ray release! IMHO it's the best Lupin series since the 2nd one... and possibly the best, period--it's hard to say how well Part 2 compares.

Super stoked to get Part 5 finally, too! Been waiting for a long time!

I'm glad Discotek will eventually release Shaman King subbed as I loved the original anime and would love to finally own all of it uncut. They also said on Twitter there are plans to include the brief uncut dub 4Kids put out before it was canceled. I still have those DVDs and of Yugioh.

Oh, goodness! You're in for a treat.

Check out this classic AMV by Kevin Caldwell to get a taste of Sana and the joys of Kodocha:

On topic, I'm probably picking up City Hunter and Hajime no Ippo from this round of announcements. Always happy to pick up more from Discotek. Very Happy

I just wish they would release the Arpeggio of Blue Steel movies.

They released the tv series years ago but they never released the movies for some reason.

I miiiiiight give Sgt. Frog a try. The show is 358 episodes long though, so I guess that means 7 sets will be released to complete it. Not yet sure if I'm willing to get all of it, but it seems like a fun show.

Other than that, absolutely getting Lupin III Part 5 and Hajime no Ippo set 3! Already got City Hunter :3

That was under their original deal with Crunchyroll (before FUNiroll 2016) which has since expired as of 4 months ago so the set is now out of print.

I wasnt talking about the tv series i meant the movies but now that the license expired, i guess that explains why the movies never got released.

Well at least i snagged the blu ray before it went oop.

I don't know if Geneon/Pioneer had the license to the Mashiba vs Kimura OVA, and just didn't release it, but seeing as how Discotek licensed it for blu-ray set 3 gives me hope that they will license Hajime no Ippo "The Rising", and "New Challenger" Very Happy
