I think it's weird something like this was entitled to another review article on this site given how inconsequential it is. While there's nothing particularly new to add to what's already been stated, I think this product was way worse than it's let on. More like D or F material.

And people might not get into Resident Evil expecting a great story, but there's a lot of good lore with intentional loose ends from Outbreak, Revelations 2 (this especially), this show's predecessor Vendetta, among other media like the 3make's new tidbits.

Capcom is bizarrely afraid to approach these cliffhangers through their CG media, considering they wouldn't risk developing whole games to resolve them anymore. That's pretty understandable in today's market being so unforgiving and regulated. Instead, they take the "safe" approach and use Leon as a mascot to do some cool shit in a random plot as demonstrated in every CG movie prior to this. It's getting tiring by now.

I guess they were trying to take themselves seriously while providing a lot of horror, but the politics kinda made this feel awkward especially in the final exchange between Leon and Claire. RE4 is considered one of the best games of all time but not only because of the gameplay and design, but also because of how campy were the characters and actors. Leon was cheesy as heck whenever he talked with a villain and it was hilarious. My only problem was Luis and Mike's random appearances for their deaths. Still, having that balance between serious and comedy RE4 got sure was challenging.

This is one of those OVA's with interesting ideas (zombies meet Black Hawk Down, zombies in the White House, and that's just the first episode) but it just doesn't come together in any meaningful way. At least it's short and the set pieces are fairly interesting despite that, and it's clear someone likes their mo-cap technology because it actually works fairly well here.

To me, it seems like this person did a lot of research just for this infinite darkness review. It’s like a movie but cut down into episodes. It takes place after the video game resident evil 4. It’s not like it’s the first time campcom has released something like this. They have animated movies with vendetta being the latest. The animation is slightly different cause it’s based on the game and not it’s own movie or show. To give it a low rating, you must not play any of the games or even watch resident evil. I’m a huge fan and I must admit, it was boring here and there but I give it a B+ at least. And to rate it on music? That’s a little childish. That’s like saying let me rate your voice, however, first timers are never the greatest. But I enjoyed it. Can’t wait the the new resident evil game.
