The character poses on the SAO side are a bit awkward since they're directly mirroring the Eternals ones. (Diavel just looks straight up funny.) But hey, Argo's there so that's cool.

I think that's the first we've actually seen of Argo in any of the movie's marketing/promotion, which is kind of weird, yet hilarious.
To me it's just kind of weird because you've got all the fancily dressed Eternals contrasted with the plainer 1st floor clearers with only 4-6 of them actually being relevant or significant. It would've made more sense to contrast with, like, the Alicization cast. Or even something that had Kirito and Asuna in one of their later outfits.

One day some will realize it's not about what movie is subjectively good or not when it comes to the marketing for the superficial idea of a crossover poster.

As neat as the crossover posters are, having to have seen Enternals... I can't say it is all that great when one movie is looking to be better than the other IMO.

Pretty much. Promotions are just that, promotions. SAO is popular. Marvel or whoever is hoping something like this will draw people in to watch their movie. It's not uncommon to see cross-over promotions like this in Japan.
