The name "Doraemon: Door to the Future" reminds me of "Doraemon: Gadget Cat from the Future" (the latter of which is used in some international editions of the franchise). I wonder if "Door to the Future" was influenced by "Gadget Cat from the Future" at all, or if the similar titles were just a coincidence.

Also, there's a 2D illustration on Doraemon Channel's website that seems to be based on the bronze statue.

Hasebe commented that as someone turning 50 years old next year, he has grown up alongside the Doraemon series, and it holds a special place in his heart. He expressed his hope that by installing the monument in Shibuya, where people of all ages gather, the hopes and dreams of Fujiko F. Fujio can be transmitted well into the future.

That's nice Smile

In addition to installing the monument, Fujiko Pro has donated the manga artist duo's books to schools and related facilities in the Shibuya Ward.

Which is pretty cool Smile
