I notice that one of those movies, Pirates, has been out for 10 weeks. Anyone know if this is usual for big movies in Japan?

I arrive in a little under a month and am hoping, the silly geek that I am, that I can see the new Pokemon movie in theaters. As it came out just three weeks ago, think I have a chance to see it four weeks from now?

I also love how Ratatouille is being called "Remy's Delicious Restaurant" in Japanese.

The love for Pirates in Japan is insane, I think Japan loves Pirates more than any other country in the world. The 3rd film has actually surpassed Spider Man 3 by a large margin even though I believe Sony spent a ton more money marketing Spider Man.

Yup, Pokemon should definitely still be playing. While I was in Japan, I used to watch the films around mid-August and it was still there. Be ready for sky high ticket prices though, you should probably go to the famous Virgin Theatres at Roppongi Hills to get your money's worth. :)
