Which light novel would you consider good?

As you get older, erik, you'll realize that all people have standards, even if they aren't <your> standards. As for Jobless, it seems like a fun adventure that turns dark at times. Have a look at season 2, episode 10 of the anime if you'd rather not read. Source material that leads to this kind of adaptation has its merits.

I read 4 volumes and dropped it. I should have dropped it from the 1st one but I wanted to see if there is anything good in it.

Loved the anime. A shame that the English LN release can't be trusted to not remove entire pages worth of content because I doubt we ever get 26 volumes worth animated.

That's kind of a relief. Another arc would probably have really dragged. (Plus, I got 24 books expensed through work, so this means I can complete my collection without spending too much.)

I found the early volumes a slog (although still better than some isekai LNs I've read), but the most recent arcs have been surprisingly enjoyable. They're not good enough for me to recommend people go through the early parts to reach them, but it was a pleasant surprise for me. The anime makes it easier to jump in, but a few of the books after it are still kind of dull.

26 volumes is not a bad run. Especially if there's going to be spin-offs and other stories. I'm hoping the anime covers all the LNs. Given how crazy well-recieved and successful the series has been I'm sure it's a safe bet that we'll see it all animated eventually. It's been one of my most enjoyed anime of the past few years. Kudos to the author for a successful run.

Just to put things in perspective, something like 1% or fewer light novel series run for more than 20 volumes. "not a bad run" is extremely underselling it, even just by volume count of the main story it's in that upper crust of ln series.

Surprised it's shorter than Bookworm which will end at ~33 volumes.

Its not tough, as it will have a sequel series that would involve his descendants, but it continues the story that started off with him.

I hope it goes well.
