I never figured this would be the next AlphaPolis title that would get an animated series.

The only other titles that i know that it publishes that have gotten an anime are Gate:Thus the JSDF Fought There and Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. (is there any other title? cause i can't recall)

Not that i mind as this series is very good when i read the manga version.

Nice. I love the manga adaptation (which reminds me to get back reading it since it's been already a hundred chapters) and I can't wait to see the anime (although Sildonia looks different in the anime).

So we've got a medieval fantasy series (with a reincarnation twist) plus an all-star cast...well, I might want to check it out depending on what I see/hear.

But didn't Minami Takahashi just go on hiatus? Did she already record for this or does she think she'll be back in time to record?

Wow, I didn't know the light novel illustrations looked this different from the manga. Granted most cases the anime adaptations go by the LN more than the manga, but the differences here are astounding. Not sure which I prefer; the LN looks cleaner while the manga had a more grimier takeaway.

Case in point, I really hope the main character's armor doesn't look like that in the anime; hardly looks like it was made from dragonscale.

The article doesn't mention it, but this was originally a Shousetsuka ni Narou webnovel, so I added it to my spreadsheet for those anime.

If anyone's curious, I found the original URL with a Twitter search for '強くてニューサーガ until:2013-01-01', and pinned down the original publication date by checking nearby IDs for stories still up on the site. (The archived version couldn't help there, since the first volume had been replaced with an updated version.) The LN publication date I took from Amazon; assuming it's right, then Narou anime have a new record of over ten years from LN publication time to anime debut, breaking Slave Harem's old record of about nine and a half years.

Wow. They really re-did the character designs? I like them both tho, so I don't mind.

Quite liked the story. Really looking forward to this.

If you're referring to the art shown in the article, I believe those are not LN art, but wholly new & original art made for the anime. The LN art from what I've seen actually looks similar to the manga art.

So why make totally new art for the anime adaptation, especially when the LN & manga art looks alright as they are?
Good question.

Quite unusual indeed...

Jesus, that's even worse! I absolutely hate the clothes the MC's wearing! Not even about practicality; it's a total fashion faux pas! Cover up his Goddamn shoulder!
