This is great and all but there's no reason to call it the original manga when it's the only one.

The article mentions that there’s going to be a new manga for the series called “The Tale of Outcasts: The Flame Knight”, so yes, there is a reason.

As much as I like that they're going to cover the whole manga, I really hope this series isn't going to be 12-13 episodes, because that'll just make the series feel super rushed. Tale of the Outcasts ought to be 24-26 episodes at most.

Agreed. I love the manga so I want the anime to succeed as well. This makes me a bit worried now. I can only pray the anime does the manga justice.

The manga only has 8 volumes, so 24 episode should be enough to cover the whole story. Hopefully they don't try to rush it into 12

I really appreciate when studios tell us up front that a series is going to be a full adaptation. It's always nice to know I won't be dealing with a cliffhanger ending followed by a multi-year wait for season two.

That said, it would be even better if they told us how many cours we're getting. I have not read this manga but 8 volumes seems like too much to cover in 12 episodes, so hopefully this is a 24 episode affair.

I haven't even finished the manga!

But yeah, I hope they don't rush through the material to fit a one-cour and are able to do the story justice.

Okay you got me there, but I don't think anyone would expected an adaptation of the new manga that starts on the same day as the anime.

Kinda concerned they might rush it. Or air 12 episodes and have 4 disc only episodes or something. Not that 16 episodes would be enough or anything but yeah.

Yeah, echoing everyone else here, I really hope this is at least 24 episodes. I really enjoy this series, and I think it deserves the 2-cours to tell its story.

No need to worry guys. If the anime version ends up not meeting your expectations, then there’s always the manga version to enjoy.

I thnk they could manage to adapt 8 volumes into 12 episodes but it depends on the staff and series main writer can handle that.
