I tried to watch the OVA, but I got bored halfway there, not understanding anything. And I absolutely loved the first season. But reading the review, it sounds like it can be skipped altogether, since the second season goes into those details anyway. Only that, compared to the first, everything sounds like a stepback, especially for me, who's anime-only and planning to stay that way. I hate it when adaptations do this "play the games for the rest" thing.

"Feels more like a collection of fluffy bonus material than a proper second season" is a pretty perfect description. I liked the first season a lot, but I couldn't do it with this one. Even by the end of it, the only characters whose names I know are the members of Happy Around. And Shinobu.
