One Piece: Shokugeki no Sanji is showing the One Piece Ace's Story tweet, just as a heads up!

I'm happy to see the Kimi no Todoke short sequel finally get picked up: I knew it had a more irregular serialization in Japan + it finished not too long ago, but I was starting to doubt if Viz would pick it up since it seemed as if KnT fan discourse dried up over the years. (No new anime beyond season 2, a slow release schedule from having caught up with Japan and being lengthy can do that to a series.)

I'm also interested in checking out Steel of the Celestial Shadows, Tokyo These Days, In the Name of the Mermaid Princess, My Name is Shingo and Marriage Toxin. Steel of the Celestial Shadows looks gorgeous!

Oh sweet, a Marriagetoxin physical license! I wonder if this means that MangaPlus will start limiting the free chapters for it on the site? Regardless, can't wait to own it -- it's the best Jump+ series I've read since Jigokuraku ended, and hopefully this means it's got a long life ahead of it.

I expected them not to license Weekly Shonen Jump titles for print volume release this time around, because WSJ titles from last year were really mediocre (in either sales or quality) save for a few, like Akane-banashi, Ruri Dragon, and The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins. Anyone remember Earthchild, Doron Dororon, Aliens Area, Super Smartphone, Protect Me Shugomaru, Tokyo Demon Bride Story, Ginka & Gluna (which I really liked). I also didn't expect print releases for High School Family, PPPPPP, or Witch Watch, it would take something similar to Yozakura Family for that to happen.

If they were going to license Jump+ titles, I would have preferred You and I Are Polar Opposites. It literally finished above Magilumiere in the Next Manga Award last year.

If they were going to license a romcom from Shogakukan, I would have preferred Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi.

Speaking of Shogakukan, I always thought that in recent licensing cycles Viz haven't always prioritized licensing from that company. This probably owes to the fact that Kaze Hikaru and Hayate the Combat Butler are still released by the company albeit in pathetic release schedules. I've gotta say I'm surprised by the no. of Shogakukan titles here. Snowball Earth, My Name Is Shingo, Steel of the Celestial Shadows, Splatoon 3, Pokemon Adventures, Tokyo These Days, Stitches, I Want to End This Love Game

I'm kinda disappointed they didn't license from other companies like Shinchosha, Kadokawa, Hakusensha, Coamix and co.

I think the shojo series will satisfy shojo demands, as one of them is the conclusion of a popular series and the other is a fantasy shojo (as opposed to high school romance that shojo fans have gotten used to). Also the two series both ended rather recently as opposed to ended years ago.

Overall this was a strong 7/10. Surprises all around and a few disappointments

No. Viz have Dandadan, Heart Gear, and Kaiju No. 8. and Manga Plus hasn't restricted any of those at all. I guess it only applies to Hell's Paradise, Chainsaw Man, and Spy X Family

Jesus Christ, who actually wanted Earthchild? That manga was hot garbage from chapter 2 to chapter too many.

Some of the other ones look good, though. Banzai Magilumiere.

Now, I only recently got into Pokemon when I got some stuff just before the eshop closed, but I have played and beaten Alpha Sapphire. So uh ... shouldn't that one description be Sapphire and Ruby want Emerald's help, instead of Sapphire and Emerald want Ruby's help? I'm assuming it's based on the post game scenario after all.

"Snowball Earth" is an interesting title; sounds kind of silly, but it's a real scientific theory. Though not a scenario in our near future, hopefully.
