Hidive announced back in early June that they would have a "premiere" showing of episode 1 (season 2) of the sub and dub at Anime Expo 2023. Everything at the Hidive Anime Expo pannel is being streamed by them, It's no secret that they would stream season 2.

I'm not questioning who the streamer is. The problem is that ANN didn't provide proof of season 2 being a legit same-day simuldub. Just because Hidive is screening the sub and dub at Anime Expo doesn't mean it will be a same-day dub when season 2 comes out in the fall. Even that tweet doesn't outright confirm anything.

Good on them. To me this development confirms that Eminence in Shadow has become a really big property for Sentai/HIDIVE.
