Need this now!

Also, I hope this means Frontier is coming sooner than later. Although I love all Macross, I like Frontier more than Delta.

Reviewing only the beginning doesn't give a very good picture of Delta's quality. Episode 1 is truly fantastic, and the following episodes are still quite good, but the series gets much worse as it goes along, mostly due to focusing too much on the incredibly dull group of villains so much.

I do hope it gets a Streaming Release before the BluRay release by Nozomi Entertainment

I wonder if they are actively busy with Dirty Pair’s Kickstarter release that they are slowly getting materials, making the BluRay menu, possibly dubbing 7, Frontier, and Delta simultaneously

Unfortunately this was my experience as well, though I only have the original Macross, the movie version of the original Macross, and the Frontier movies for comparison.

I also found several of the solo/duet songs that didn't feature the main love interest or the leader of Walküre to be vocally weak, which was unexpected, since together they sound just fine.

I've watched Delta and it was ok but to me Macross is Frontier and +. All the rest of it is crap, as far as I'm concerned.

Eh... Delta isn't great. SDF, 7, Plus, Zero and F are where it's at.

Someone had to say that.

Now about delta i really liked it , but it felt like.it had too few episodes for too.much of a cast. 26 was not enough considering how many characters it had.and how interesting they were/could have been, the pressure the capable but not genius pilot who is the granddaughter of the two greatest pilots in recent history is only touched upon once. One of the characters being actually a 2 years olf girl? It barely got mentioned. Some of the plot points only become plot point of the week while others not even that.

Funny thing, i have thw oposite problem with seven

Delta was my introduction to the Franchise, and even though I haven't seen all of the previous series, it sure became a favorite of mine. Yes, I think the antagonists and it's plot were just meh, but personally the music makes up for it.

Hopefully it's not to late for the whole franchise to pick up some new fans here on the other side of the world, because it's a great franchise that should get the recognition it deserves.

Delta is the only Macross series that I dropped and never looked back. I think I made it episode 7, first few episodes had promise but it quickly fell apart.

As others mentioned the music was a plus but not enough to save it. I even made it through Macross 7, and I thought that was a badge of honor.. lol

Macross was always about idols. The only one that wasn't was Macross Zero.

While Delta definitely slows a bit in its back half, i definitely think the first 13 episodes are great. And the last 2-3 are as well. Its just slows down from like, 14-19ish.

Episode 13 alone might be one of my favorite ever Macross episodes.

As far as the music goes, Ikenai Borderline is fantastic and a contender for best Macross song.

The rest are not. They're not bad, but they're mostly pretty middle of the road. Hacking while singing a hacking song is fun though.

Definitely agree. Ikenai Borderline is probably the only song that I remember from Delta. The rest were forgettable generic girl-group idol songs.

I thought it was ok but I probably wouldn't watch again unless they dub it for the Blu-ray release which I doubt will happen.

Obviously how much you like the music has a big effect on where you rank the various Macross series, but even accounting for my disinterest in idols I always found Delta to be mediocre at best.

Strangely the biggest problem it has for me is that AKB0048 exists, which is basically the same thing but with better characters and more imagination in it (Though the AKB trappings do make it somewhat silly.)
