I mean when you kill off pretty much all of the existing Battllogue tie-in's in favor of the new "Gundam Metaverse" you can only expect a decline of support. If the parent company doesn't wish to support it, don't expect fans to either.

That and bandai is a massive company with a ton of resources, why they needed Gundam fANS to support this was a head scratcher. Isn't the money spent on model kits enough?

Because this was an English-language only project. Bandai likely gave their blessed approval for it with the caveat that Legendary had to eat the cost of it failed. I'm sure there was probably a licensing fee baked into that Kickstarter bankroll, but the project was incredibly sketchy either way. When you don't have any semblance of a plot to see the prospect to the fans on, that's a red flag. Asking for money then producing something based on said money is shady as heck. I expected better from a former Bandai Ent exec.
