Not really sure I can comprehend the point of remastering a sprite-based game on a bunch of consoles it's already available on.

It’s a full-blown remake built from the ground up on Unreal 5. Also, they got Studio Chizu to do the animation for it.

I mean, I get what you mean Lizuka, but to be honestly fair, the other platforms (like Xbox and PC/Steam) didn't even get the updated version Overdrive which only the PS4 and Switch got.

Also, I see it as a big win, so that all versions on modern platforms get parity with each other, and that you can play online with up to 8 players, all via cross-play.
