Come on John, instead of spending money acquiring licenses fix the Hidive apps, all are garbage level, and it is not just me saying this but all users in the Hidive sub-reddit.

Yea I have a Hidive sub because I like their catalog but I have to say the apps are beyond garbage I’m not exaggerating when I say Hidive is the worst streaming service I’ve ever used.

Agree 100%! Went to watch Eminence in shadow. The Android TV app continuously crashes. The iPad version wouldn’t let me select the second season, and the iPhone version would let me select the second season but when I cast to my tv it casted the Firsy season episode! I had to torrent a pirate copy to watch something that I have the legal right to watch!

I rather see them licensing more titles than fixing their apps.

I imagine Crunchyroll would agree with you because they rather see a HIDIVE with fantastic apps and a couple of streaming titles per season as opposed to a HIDIVE with crappy apps and 10+ streaming titles per season.

On PC, clicking The Eminence in Shadow from the main page brought up an episode list only for season 1, but searching for it in the catalog brought up a version with season 2 listed. No idea if that would translate to iPad, but thought it was funny we had similar issues with the very same show.

They had the same issue with Urusei Yatsura, with the second season only being accessible from the series page and it's honestly insane that they haven't fixed it by now.

Add to that how HiDive still refuses to keep you logged in on PC and the only thing they have going for them is the shows.

Of course, Crunchyroll have their own issues. Like how they label movies and ovas as season xx, messing up the watch order. For example, the Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown movie is labeled as season 17 despite taking place before season 2 which means whenever you watch the latest episode, Crunchyroll will dump you directly into the movie afterwards.
