I'm starting to suspect this will be a very short season covering only the Stars and Stripe and U.A. Traitor arcs.

In the previous article announcing S7, I predicted that they would do a 1 episode recap at the beginning of S7 but they quadrupled down on that & went with 4 recap episodes Laughing

Well at least its premiered separately from the actual S7 so I can safely ignore all of it & just wait patiently for the actual season premiere.

If this means no recap in the season, I’m all for it.

From the look of things season 7 is going to be a 8-9 episodes season. Unless the 7th season overlaps with the 4th movie.

Why do people always feel the need to name arcs when trailers and promotional materials haven't done so yet? Like "I know something you don't know, and need you to know that, heehee!" is just such a boring mentality. Even tossing a name onto something is going to color people's expectations of what's coming down the line.

Coming from the manga, I will say that personally, the previous season's war arc is spoiler[a high point that the series never really replicates successfully].

What the f**k does it need a 4-episode recap for? To explain the series from the absolute beginning or something?

My guess is that they didn't have enough material to make 12-13 episodes and to fill the air time decided to do 4 recap episodes.

At this point, I think Bones splitting their workload up between the series, the movies and everything else they have to work on is really starting to show.

This is more than just Bones itself, a lot of names that were some involved in the series at some point just moved on to completely different series altogether. Plus some lackluster aspects are not even due to Bones itself, such as Atelier Musa's bland background work.

Yeah, Musa's art sucks (not sure why they were hired, given their work on stuff like Gundam and OPM were equally blegh; really could have had Easter, Green/Naya/Olive, or even one of the movie studios, but nooooooooo), but they were hired by the staff to be involved, so yeah, I'd say some of that decision's on Bones.

I mean... it depends. From what I could find in some places, background studios can be picked by the committee and not staff.

But do we know if that's the case here? That's the real question. I know there's studios out there who have their "favorties" or "go-tos" for several efforts (Bihou for Trigger and White Fox; Easter for P.A. Works; Ishigaki Production for TMS back in the day). But it begs the question of who really was in charge of hiring Musa in this case, as they normally don't work with Bones (usually it's Green and its offshoots Naya and Olive; while Musa typically works with Sunrise).
