The original "Taking Care of God" story was already translated in, IIRC, Liu's The Wandering Earth collection. May have had a slightly different English title. It's been a while since I read it.

It appears you are correct, looks like she prose story has the same name in English too. I didn’t realise The Wandering Earth was published in the West as part of a short story collection. I’ll have to check it out.
