I love this series and I am always sad to see the end come to a series I like, but I know it has to happen. The fact that there will be another series after it helps with the sadness, though Smile

Wow. I haven't checked anything related to this series in years.

Knowing that the manga is still far from over after all these years of its running really depresses me. At least, now I can buy all the Reload volumes and check out what this third of the series had been about.

Wow, this surprised me. It's been a long and meandering journey (literally) for the Sanzo Ikkou. Hopefully Minekura will also do some follow-up stories for them. It's sad to think that we wouldn't see these characters ever again.

TP's sort of patchy on back-issues. Of course they might issue the deluxe volumes as they'er threatening to do with Gravi (which I'm probably buying because my individual copies are well worn from being borrowed by all my daughter's friends).

Minekura's consistantly delivered an excellent story. I thought the original legend took decades to complete, so anything less than that isn't bad.

There was Saiyuki, then Saiyuki Reload, now she's writing the final segment. Why are you all talking like this is the last we'll see of Sanzo and the rest of them?

This is similar to the Grappler Baki series that has been running in Shonen Champion. The first of the series was called Grappler Baki, the second of the series was Baki, and the last chapter of the series is called Hanma Baki.
