Kinda really creepy for someone to sleep in a little girl's butt/crotch. I think wearing it the right way is creepier than the wrong way since that was how it was designed Shocked

I read the headline... I followed the link to the article... I saw the image, and said "Yep."

Yep, that's just about the kind of product I'd expect to come from a show aimed at moe lolicon loving emotionally stunted lonely nerds.

Somehow after reading the headline I new exactly what this would be...

I wonder how popular these will be on flights back from Japan after they're released. Laughing

.... and I am so not surprised. a part of me is dying inside, but I'm not surprised. I'm only wondering if they're going to come up with an Evangelion take on this idea next.

After that DS bloomer pouch for the coming DS game, this is not as surprising, at least people won't carry a pillow everywhere...

Not surprising at all. A lolicon crotch pillow. Nice to know they're still being creative I guess.

The pillow's name is a reference to a catchphrase ("Pants ja nai kara hazukashiku nai mon") about how the female characters' outfits in the Strike Witches anime are not underpants, despite the similar appearance.

This brings up a perplexing categorical issue. If they are not underpants of any sort, ought we still regard them as undergarments, viz, to be worn against bare skin? If so, the similarity in appearance would lead one to posit that the outfits are very much akin to underpants, in a manner which renders any distinction between the two to be meritless.
The best way to address such an issue would be to demonstrate that there exists another layer between the outfit and the skin, which would clear things up quite succinctly.
The ontology of pants is an important topic, you see.

But even if they are designed to be worn against the bare skin, if they're also not designed to have clothes over them then they cannot be called undergarments.

I approve of such pillows. Doubt I'll get around to buying one, but I approve of it anyways.

It's their "normal" clothes. None of the females in the show actually wear much else below the waist (except Eila and Sanya).

Besides, throughout the whole show, they were called zubon (pants). Not pantsu.

Heck, in one particularly amusing episode, one character almost shared hers with another character when that other character lost hers...

Back in the day of more singles release, I would imagine funimation would be putting the pillowcase in a vol 1 artbox.

Agreed. I know these can also be used as neck supporters when driving, but the squick factor remains all the same. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

And yet, somehow, it's hilarious in a you-feel-bad-afterward-for-laughing sorta way. Oh, Japan, what will you do next?

Ohh... last weekend I could have used this, there's a potentially practical use:
So I was visiting an open-air with a friend and his cute little ex-girlfriend - I offered her to get onto my shoulders for a while to get a good view.
I did that for a few songs and she was happy - but the next day I had some strange bruises on my shoulder x_X

Next time it'll go down like this ->
Me: "You can hop on again if you want, I got a special pillow for this purpose.."
She: "WTF IS THIS!???"

Ah, the glory of seeing that expression ^__^ ::smiles::
