The subheading currently states, "Also: PlayStation 3's tech specs posted".

Shouldn't that be "Also: PlayStation 4's tech specs posted"?

1300 yen for 90 days in Japan but $10 for 30 days in North America? That may need to be double-checked, I hope.

Just like 399 dollars and 399 euros. I think Europe might be spending more than they should....

Well, it looks like a glorified PS3 to me...the online multiplayer subscription model is very disappointing, but so far it does not appear to be a complete PR nightmare like the Xbox One. I'm not seeing much value added over the PS3 for the money, so I'm not upgrading anytime soon, if ever.

Nice to see it will be region free. I'm guessing that means no archaic used game license fees or forced resale venues and prices?

Looks like Nintendo wins the next generation by default as the competition just knocked themselves out with backwards and restrictive consumer practices. It will take a whole lot of quality games and lemmings to buy them on these consoles to move tons of units for either Sony or Microsoft this go round.

Uh, no. What reality are you living in? Sony just blatantly won E3. To deny this is literally denying reality itself.

While I never really played any games online (none of the stuff I like is really multiplier outside MMOs which are obvious enough), I do like PS+ more than Xbox Live. Free games, discounts, and cheaper. Also I never got why Xbox Live still had ads when you paid for it. Seems like it should be no ads if you pay for a site or something usually.

The one where I keep my $399+tax and $9.99 a month in my bank account rather than upgrade my PS3 which works just fine to do the same basic stuff as the PS4.

I don't own a Wii U, but it is looking more and more appealing with every new update about added costs and restrictions between Microsoft and Sony. My guess is most parents will feel the same way if they are footing the bill for their kid(s).

Yes, but exactly what games are you going to play on the WiiU? A lot of the games shown yesterday will be on both PS4 and Xbone.... but just about none will be on the WiiU. Sure, Nintendo has their first party games.... but what else?

I've a hard time comparing WiiU and XboxOne+Ps4. They do so different games and the hardware on Wii U limits its library of games. There won't be any triple A large budget titles for Wii U and that's fine if you like that sort of thing, but I generally don't like party games or Marios so PS4 for me.

But yeah "new generation" my ass. CoD Ghosts is a leading title for new generation consoles with its outstanding visuals from 2007. I guess we have to wait for a few years until those new generation of graphics actually pop up. Not that I care about graphics that much and I'm glad that they announced "blistering" 60 fps for atleast BF4 and Halo (for Xbox, I doubt there'll be a game that'll will be 60 for Xbox and 30 for PS4. I know Halo is for Xbox). That should be the absolute standard from now on.

It is called a PC my friend. Plays the same stuff, barring a few select console exclusives. Cool

No reason for me to waste money on a new console and pay for online when I have a PC to play most new stuff and a PS3 for everything else.

I'm personally not really interested in getting any of the new consoles anytime soon. They all have their limitations. I think the Wii U's price point and family friendly nature will sell more units than the competition in the short run given their added costs and limitations. As far as who makes the most profit or has the most popular and enduring system, that will be decided much later on.

Sure. To each his own. Although good luck finding a gaming PC that will handle next gen games for less than $400s. So your point about saving money kinda goes out the window.

OK so this was posted on Tuesday that PS+ Plus would cost $9.99 in the US, so what was said at E3 about PS+ Plus being less than $5 a month was a mistake?

Yes though the PC has always existed alongside consoles and has always played the same stuff except for few exclusives. You're too late to join the PC master race.
