Ick. The old site looked better, and navigating it was much less cumbersome.

I like the centered design a little better, because every time I opened a sub page in the flash version everything around the main content shrunk incredible small (some faulty major bug for their programmers).

I think the site could be a bit better if each DVD title had a better developed page. ADVision is one of the leading anime distributors in the states = they get $$$ from the fans = should develop a bigger site since their budget is huge.

I'll say this though, it will beat Manga's site any day hands down. Wait let me rephrase that... "any anime site will always beat Manga Ent.'s website" heh heh.

I for one like the new site. I had the same problem with the shrinking content on the old site. I also really like the trailers on the front page. Now they just need to have sample episodes available for download! Smile

I think the thing that disturbs me the most (visually) is the odd "honeycomb" pattern in the background. It's distracting and takes away from focusing on the products they are trying to sell. (not to mention it's ugly to boot.)

The site overall could be much worse, but besides being an eyesore, I have to agree with Miagi. Navigation is indeed cumbersome, requiring more to get to the titles that you want than before.

Here's the best anime company site: plain html, black text, white background, and gifs and jpegs instead of flash.

I honestly don't mind company websites that still look like refugees from 1996... well, maybe it could be a little more "dynamic", but I really wish black text on a white (or light grey) background wasn't considered outmoded by most of the other companies' web designers.

this is fine but it was fine before also. Gamespot just redesigned as well, neither site needed it but both of the changes are fine.
