I kinda doubt it's Full Metal Panic Season 4 but hopefully will be something worth talking about.

Pretty sure the last time a similar article was posted, it turned out to be a side story novel, gag manga, or some other project that nobody really cared about. |

to be fair it is totally possible that the rights to the series lapsed so someone other then kyoani now has them now. That said I find it to be unlikely. |

KyoAni never actually had the rights in the first place, Kadokawa does, and they are the ones (as well as the rest of the production committee) who paid KyoAni to animate Fumoffu & FMP:TSR. That being said, Kadokawa hasn't used KyoAni to do animation in quite some time. Though that may be changing, since they're animating Amagi Brilliant Park. |

Maybe a lot of fans were outraged because KyoAni animated Amagi and not continuation of FMP, and somehow the publisher decides that it'll be the time for next FMP animation project.
(but I kinda don't want FMP to be animated by KyoAni anymore. Animation-wise, yeah, KyoAni is awesome, but now that studio just has distinctive character design - and I don't want to see the casts of FMP being drawn like that) |

First off, it's not up to KyoAni whether to animate FMP or not, and secondly, they are more able to adapt any artstyle than you'd think, I'm sure of it. I'm saying this despite hating the studio itself. |
