While I am aware of the LN ends, it'd be nice to see a full release of both the LN and the manga (of course, it's most likely fan translations for the LN).

Is the source material more interesting than the anime?

Personally, as a fan of the anime, light novels, and manga:
The source material is better than the anime, and the manga is pretty loyal to it.

Pleasing to see this one has an end in sight, not because I don't enjoy it as it's actually quite the contrary but I always like to know there is an end in site with this type of series - I hate to see a story or arc dragged out for the sake of Chapter quotas.

@mewpudding101
Do you have any idea how many of the 16 volumes of the light novel will be covered by the 10 volume manga? How far into the series did the anime cover?

This is good news.
Anime based off on going novel/manga often left in limbo. I hate it when it's a cliff hanger. Berserk is probably the worst of them all.
I prefer the manga over anime, but reading the manga will ruin the anime for me so I'll just watch the anime first and then continue with the story by reading the manga.
Will there be a Sacred Blacksmith anime season 2?

Considering how the anime pulled in about a 2,000 average on disc (Don't know what kind of boost it did for the LN's) five years ago, and the LN's ended almost two years ago, the answer is never.

For those that don't know how the LN ended, Luke and Cecily get married and have a family.

Hi there! After just reading volume 9, it looks like the manga will cover all sixteen. So if you can't get your hands on English novels, the manga is your best bet. The anime didn't cover that many novels, had original stories, and ended with an original ending where the main villain is dead so uh... Can't really be continued anyway. Very unfortunate, but the manga and novels are great.

Hm, that's not exactly... Right... I mean, yes that happens, but it's not happily ever after.
Also, (huge spoiler here) Luke and Cecily getting married and having a family isn't the end... Luke dies only a few months after Cecily gives birth to his second child. Their descendants work with Liza for hundreds of years to finally reforge Aria. The 16th volume is kind of an epilogue, with a lot of it focusing on Liza.)
