A 2D side-scroller that has swearing in the title? In that case, Sega (and you too, Game Freak), forget it. If that's the way (both of) you are going to be about it, you can count me out. Based on the title alone, I'm pretty sure this is going to be an automatic "T" rating (and that's assuming it doesn't go in the direction of a certain game with a certain character from a certain British company now owned by Microsoft...).
In any case, it's obvious which direction these two companies are going in with this. I thought Sega had an attitude problem, and this proves it*. Also, I couldn't find an obvious Japanese name for the game, which likely means it's being developed specifically with North America in mind. In any case, I'm kind of glad it's not coming to the Wii U, because it would bring shame on not just Nintendo (and the Pokémon franchise Game Freak helped to create, if it hasn't already), but the Wii U itself as well, but that's just my opinion...
*Obviously they didn't make the game, but they likely told Game Freak to give the game it's PG-13 / T rated title in order to appeal to the older "hardcore" gamers, thinking that's the kind of game they want to play...or Sega gave it the title itself. Either way, in this scenario, Sega is just digging itself deeper...

Looks fun, I hope it gets a physical release on the 3DS eventually.

This needs a physical release badly on consoles.

Despite the fact that PSNetwork is already rather stuffed to the gills with artistically overdesigned indie-developer 2D side-scrolling digital-download platform games.
I'd rather let the new-kid companies do the freaky underimagined stuff, as long as Sega keeps bringing over the Project Diva games on US disk.

Badass is not a swear word, are you stupid or just trolling?

Woah, I was totally not expecting something like this. It looks...interesting to say the least. And not on a Nintendo console? And all this time I thought Game Freak belonged to Nintendo.
^BTW I thought badass was considered a swear word. Or if not, the ass part makes it at least a somewhat crude/not kid friendly word.

I doubt a game publisher could have gotten away with "Badass" as a title when I was a kid but it's not the 1980s anymore. I can see it still being considered a swear with really puritanical types, but I think even if you're in the middle of the Bible belt, variants of "ass" are really borderline.

Reminds me of Donkey Kong Country, or do people not know what that is anymore?

To me too.
Most importantly, though, I wonder why Game Freak is involved if the game isn't even coming out on a Nintendo platform...maybe they're exchanging favours with SEGA?

Wait - Sega making a game featuring a mascot with attitude and an original English title? Stop the presses!

This looks really interesting. Totally unlike what Game Freak would normally do. It also kind of reminds me of Regular Show in its art style, which I'm a fan of.

I also thought Game Freak was a 2nd-party company, meaning they're tied to Nintendo.
If that's true, does that mean we can finally get a port of Smart Ball on the PlayStation Network?

Seems intriguing. Not sure if want. If there could be an actual Pokémon title on the PS4, I'd be all over that. Of course, since Nintendo own Pokémon just as much as Game Freak do, it'll never happen.

Two things went through my mind watching the trailer:
1. What the hell is this?
2. I need to play this.
Looks like it could be a fun game.
