What an absolutely atrocious pick, like easily the worst one they could have possibly gone with by a considerable margin. It's pretty much the most overtly commercial of the ones up for this and pretty reliant on basic moe and fanservice as well. Looking forward to listening to people heap a whole bunch more totally undeserved credit solely on Gen Urobuchi and filing this under another Anime awards thing to take about as seriously as everything else besides the Japan Media Arts Festival Awards which I swear are the only ones that reward genuine creativity and artistic vision instead of just commercial schlock.
