I watched all of these films and now find that I cannot recall a single detail of any of their plots. Make of that what you will.

Buyer beware: it's been pointed out in the Retail forum that this is considerably more expensive than buying it directly from Japan.

The sale price is almost $100 more than the amazon Japan price. I got the exact same edition there for about $230. Aniplex really needs to rethink their pricing Rolling Eyes.

$320 for Garden of Sinners on Blu-Ray? Still too much for my blood. The most I'd get it for is $200. Maybe $250, but it'd be very low priority at that price.

Just so I don't have to scour the entire Retail subforum, can I get a link?

The subtitle for this article says "All 8 films" but it should be of note that doesn't include Mirai Fukuin - the eighth theatrical release. It includes the seven original films as well as the direct-to-video epilogue.

Just want to make sure nobody's expectations are betrayed. In order to have every film in the series you'll have to buy the Mirai Fukuin release as well.

Aniplex loves us so much they're willing to charge us more than their Japanese customers for the same product. They're so generous.

*Tuor looks at the retail price*

Bwaa ha ha haaaa!

At least Aniplex doesn't disappoint when it comes to pricing. I knew I could count on them... for a good laugh..

OK, in all seriousness now, why the hell is this more expensive then the R2?

If it was 200 dollars, I would have considered it and it if was... No, I can't even say that. When I clicked on the link, I was thinking "Standard? That would be about 20 dollars a disk, right? So from 150 to 160? Expensive but doable."

So much for that.

Well for BD it's not R2, it's Region A, which includes both Japan and the US together. That IS a strange pricing choice, though. I was expecting to see a price announcement somewhere around $200 (about $30 per movie) and I would've considered buying it at that price. $320 is too much. Between Amazon Japan or CDJapan (currently retailing it for $280), it's not hard to find it for significantly cheaper, and the Japanese versions even have English subtitles. If the Japanese versions were only available raw, or the set came with a bunch of booklets that were going to be translated into English, then that might be something to point to, but it doesn't have any of that. Only thing I can think of is that they're counting on enough people either not knowing how to import BDs or being too lazy to bother with it.

I think what I make of that is that they're overwrought schlock.
