It would be so awesome if this guy somehow was inspired by the anime to make a follow-up to Parasyte. I guess the one season is all we're ever getting.

Iwaaki has actually done a bunch of really good historical fiction manga before. Like Historie, which is the story of one of Alexander the Great's generals, or Snow Ridge Sword Dance, a short manga about some small events during Sengoku times. I highly recommend both these manga.

^it's something of a low oblique view so there's some foreshortening going on. Well at least an attempt at it.
Which is why you see that the left hand as being smaller than the right hand and the head bigger than the lower half of the body.
