Well, that;s pretty sad. I don't like dubbed anime, so I don't know how good/bad their work was on that, but I've played the PS2 Final Fantasy games and the Xenosaga Trilogy and the dubs for those were pretty damn good, especially Xenosaga.

This is extremely disheartening. Magnitude 8 was part of the anime scene for a long while and helped produce some of the best English dubs, in association with Animaze Inc. Now that Kevin Seymour has passed and Claypool is shuttering Magnitude 8, that era of anime dubbing is also gone.

Oh man! They did GitS: SAC and Wolf's Rain? Sad to hear that; I thought those dubs were top-notch! :/

That is the recording studio Animaze goes to so yes, we're losing a segment who used to be prolific in the anime dubbing scene especially back in the late 90s and early 2000s. I can't believe it's been that long. Sad

Unfortunate but what can you do when money is so hard to come by, especially in this day and age. It's certainly been hard on the anime/manga industry.

I'm sad that this had to happen. But it's not surprising given that most anime nowadays is dubbed at either Studiopolis and Bang Zoom. They were one of the long time recording studios that did anime from the 90's to the 00's and some of the best anime was recorded there. They will be missed.

It's disheartening that this awesome studio is shutting down for good, but considering Magnitude 8 Post's recent financial bind, their fate was all but imminent.

This studio, and the people that worked there, will be missed dearly. Their English versions of their anime shows were fantastic.

Well dubs used to be done dirt cheap, or sometimes even cheaper. Now you couldn't get away with releasing something as bad as Sins of the Sister or Garzey's Wing.

Very sad. Thank-you to everyone involved for all of your hard work, and Mr. Claypool, thank-you for your dedication to your actors and staff in the face of financial hardship. The next chapter of anime adaptation, and the English-speaking market's consumption, is always evolving. I hope we will hear more from all of you in the future, and thank-you so much for giving us so many wonderful memories in our interesting little fandom.

Thanks again.

Um, sorry? Confused

Anyway, hope things go well for the talent involved.
