Can only agree, this anime is the underdog of the season. I love the characters so far, the humor is also good. It isn't just another random otaku MC and his bitch. I have the feeling this one is going to be a good one. Although the characters resemble the ones from "Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon" I have the feeling the ones in this anime are more likeable and less stereotype, they have more depth.

yup i really liked the 1st episode and in my eyes it was one of the best 1st episodes we had from this winter so yeh i also believe that this anime gonna be one of my top picks this winter was really hoping that this be 24episodes long with some split-cour perhaps atleast so after this news was quite sad =/

if i had to guess i would say either not enough material which i doubt or due the story which is more likely they probably dont wanna end it in middle of some arc

I checked on baka tsuki and there were like 8 light novels listed and I think Megumin (the mage) had a spin off with 4 lns. Of course the translations were taken down because of a massive DMCA thing so I don't know how they compare though.

I will say that the 1st episode doesn't quite match up to the manga version I read beforehand though (currently at 12 chapters, each is actually pretty long as chp 1 is 40 pages).

The last sequence never happened in the manga and in the beginning Aqua didn't take a second to think about what Kazuma said, she just pretty much said "okay, just step in the magic circle and- wait."
other differences:
spoiler[when Aqua tries to get the old guy to give her money, she doesn't get depressed but rather Kazuma has a thought about the old man just wanting to get rid of her. In the beginning, Aqua begged Kazuma to pick something and go because of harsh monthly quotas (lol)]
And the episode preview showed frog hunting. That was actually what happened in the manga next instead of getting a day job. Oh but the frog hunting will be hilarious though, and I can't wait for Darkness (blonde girl) to show up for reasons.
