I just read about this a few hours ago. Someone thought it was the creator of the Layton series, but Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level-5, is still alive and well. This still sucks, though.

Farewell, Puzzle Master.

May you be racking the brains of angels.

I loved to solve his puzzles in Layton games. RIP puzzle master, may you rest well after your great work.

Wow, that's amazing. And my mom still can't figure your games out.

This both amazing and sad news nonetheless. Talk about a contribution and he will sorely be missed.

And still no Professor Layton for iOS in NA. Crying or Very sad

(Just Layton Brothers, which, FWIU, is fairly off-canon.)

Although I'm no huge fan of Professor Layton, I'm saddened by his loss. Sad

Rest in peace, Mr. Tago-san. You truly are the Puzzle Master.

Wow. What a life!

I always wondered what minds were behind the puzzles you find in games.

I've only played Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright but I did enjoy the puzzles. Broke up the investigation parts of what would be in a standard Phoenix Wright game nicely. RIP.

He wasone of the most inventive puzzle masters on the planet. But at least he lived to the age of 90 and had a life I'm sure he was satisfied with.
