Chaos;Child Anime Reveals January 11 Debut, Theme Song Titles

The staff of the anime adaptation of 5pb. Games and MAGES.' Science Adventure game Chaos;Child revealed on Saturday that the anime will premiere on January 11.

The show's official site additionally announced song titles and release dates for the previously revealed theme song artists on Monday. Kanako Itou is performing the opening theme song "Uncontrollable," and Konomi Suzuki is performing the ending theme song "Chaos Syndrome." Itou's single for the opening theme song will ship on January 25, and Suzuki's single for the ending theme song will ship on February 22.

The anime's main cast members above are returning from the game.

Masato Jinbo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei!, Shomin Sample, Nozo × Kimi) is directing the anime and is also handling series composition. Kazuyuki Yamayoshi is serving as chief animation director and adapting Mitsumi Sasaki and Yukihiro Matsuo's character designs for animation. SILVER LINK is animating the series. Takeshi Abo (Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes) and onoken (Accel World) are composing the music.

In the psycho-suspense story, after a magnitude-7.8 earthquake hits Tokyo's Shibuya ward on November 6, 2009, a black fire spreads and causes mass panic on the day of the earthquake. The sudden disaster that becomes known as the "Shibuya Earthquake" kills 3,851 people and injures 30,927 more. The game is set in a reconstructed Shibuya district in October 2015. A string of mysterious deaths occurs in Shibuya amidst the reconstruction. People begin to take notice as the strange events start on the same day that chaos broke out in Shibuya with a certain incident five years earlier. The events are called the "Return of the New Generation Madness."
