Battle Girl High School Anime Slated to Air in Summer

The Battle Girl Fes. Dai-Shinju-Sai event announced on Sunday that the anime of COLOPL's Battle Girl High School smartphone role-playing game will air on television this summer.
The event also ended with several other announcements. The February issue of Kadokawa's Comptiq magazine will give the franchise its first cover (pictured below) and the lead feature with an interview with Aoi Yūki (Sadone) and other content. The magazine will also bundle a 68-page visual book supplement on the franchise. Battle Girl High School The 4 koma, Makoto Sakurai's four-panel manga adaptation, will be renewed as it follows the Hoshimori's daily lives not covered in the game itself. The staff plans to implement a new main story in the game in February.
The school action role-playing game is set in the year 2045. The world has been contaminated by Irōsu (mysterious invaders who suddenly appeared), and humans find themselves restricted and contained. Standing boldly against these invaders are ordinary girls everywhere, without a powerful army or even weapons. The Shinjugammine Girls Academy is a school for these "Hoshimori" (Star Guardians) destined to fight the Irōsu. The player is assigned to this academy to train the girls and take back the contaminated Earth.
COLOPL launched the game as a free-to-play app (with in-game item purchases) for iOS and Android devices in April 2015.
