Shogakukan Briefly Lists TV Anime For Yomi Hirasaka's Imōto Sae Ireba Ii. Light Novel Series

Shogakukan briefly listed a fall television anime adaptation of Yomi Hirasaka's Imōto Sae Ireba Ii. (It'd be Good if Only Little Sister Was Here) light novel series on Thursday. The listing was on a preview image of the cover of the novel's seventh volume (pictured below). Shogakukan has since removed the image from the listing.
The seventh novel volume will ship on May 18. A special edition of the volume will include a drama CD.
Hirasaka writes the series and Kantoku (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.) provides the illustrations. Shogakukan published the first volume of the light novel series (pictured at right) in March 2015.
The story follows the everyday life of Itsuki, a novelist and "modern day Pygmalion" who works day in and day out to create the ultimate younger sister. He's surrounded by various other characters: a beautiful genius writer who loves him, his big-sisterly classmate from college, a fellow male writer, a sadistic tax accountant, and his editor. They're all looked after by Itsuki's perfect younger step-brother, Chihiro, who has a serious secret.
Idu launched a manga adaptation of the series titled Imōto Sae Ireba Ii. @comic in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX magazine in December 2015. Shogakukan will publish the manga's third compiled volume on May 19. Kobashiko launched a separate spinoff manga titled Imōto Sareba II. Gaiden Imōto ni Saenareba Ii! in the November issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine on October 22.
Hirasaka's Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai) light novel series inspired two television anime series with video anime spinoffs as well as manga. Funimation has licensed both seasons of the anime for release in North America. The light novel series also inspired a live-action film that opened in Japan in February 2014.
