Monolith Soft Posts Job Listings For New Project That 'Differs From Brand Image'

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Japanese video game developer Monolith Soft opened a job recruitment website on Monday for a new project. The recruitment site lists the project as an "ambitious" new work that "differs from [the company's] brand image." The page lists job openings for designers, programmers, planners, and management support.

The recruitment page features two images, but the site doesn't specify if the images are related to the new project.

Monolith Soft's most recent game project is the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 sequel game for the Nintendo Switch. Aside from the Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, and Xenoblade Chronicles X games, the company has worked on Project X Zone and Project X Zone 2 alongside Banpresto. The company also developed the three Xenosaga games.

Tetsuya Takahashi founded the development studio in 1999, and the company was a subsidiary of Namco (and later Bandai Namco). In 2007, Nintendo bought all of Bandai Namco's shares, making Monolith Soft a subsidiary.
