Episode 6 - 9:52 - 10:08min - there is a reference to Galileo (a TV Drama - A Physics Professor of a University helps a newbie policewomen to solve strange cases using his scientific abilities) - while solving the equations, she starts to write frenetically while a footage of her brains working ending with a pose - just like in Galileo drama

At the end of several of the episodes, (when you see Ika looking out into the sea) you'll see something related to the episode float, fly or on the beach next to her in the background.

In Episode 3 around 6:35 on the left of the ghost trio you can see Kazuma Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho.

In episode 5, around 6:18, reference to E.T.

In Episode 7, the drums Ika Musume with a labeled Toma is a parody of Tama, a brand of drums and hardware manufactured and marketed by the Japanese musical instrument company, Hoshino Gakki.

In episode 7, Cindy explains that everyone in her lab is a top graduate of MIT. The school mentioned is most likely Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA.

In Episode 8 at around the 5:58 mark there is a poster in the background of "chitty chitty gon gon" which would appear to be a parody of the 1968 movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."

In episode 11 around 8.15, Tendou Kasumi & Tendou Nabiki of Ranma 1/2 series is in the cafe.
