Trivia:

In episode 1, the game format for the PV of episode two is that of Love Plus. Haqua, the character who is visible, is voiced by Hayami Saori who voices Takane Manaka in the game.

In episode 2 at around 4 minutes, the billboards in the background look like anime posters. The left looks like a mix of Tsukihime and the Higurashi title, and the one with "Random" is a spoof of the poster of Shuffle!.

In episode 2, the theatre seems to be playing a parody of 'Flanders no Inu', where Flander's dog (Patrash) is replaced by a pig.

In episode 2, the song playing in the video game store is Happy Crescent, sung by the character Kanon from the first season of The World God Only Knows.

In episode 3, the balloons Keima holds (as he recounts Haqua's explanation of loose souls and the demon world) look like the ghost "Boo" from the Super Mario Brothers series.

In episode 3, the pitcher resembles Anisawa Meito from Anime Tenchou. He is also voiced by Tomokazu Seki, the same seiyuu who voices Anisawa Meito.

In episode 5, Keima makes an analogy of the number to stray souls to the number of Dragon Balls. He explains that if it took 60,000 Dragon Balls to grant your wish, no one would do it. This is a reference to Dragon Ball Z, of course.

In episode 5, when Keima is distraught, he turns into a certain beagle and lies on the top of the bench. This is a blatant reference to Snoopy in the Peanuts comic strip by Charles Schultz.

In Episode 5, while Kosaka Chihiro and Elysia de Lute Ima are talking about the incident during the rain, Katsuragi Keima is playing his PFP. The character on the screen is similar to "Takao" from the "D-Fragments!" anime, slight variation are the eyes, everything else is very similar.

In episode 7, when Elcea pouts, she turns in what might be a parody on the American TV show, South Park, and its art style.

In episode 8, you can see a copy of Tokimeki Memorial for the PSP parody PFP behind Elcea around 3:44

In episode 8, the music that plays and the background that appears when Keima finds the game "One Leaf" in the clearance bin is a nod to "2001: A Space Odyssey", made in 1968.

In Episode 10, Nikaido Yuri is depicted as a parody of the mecha in the anime "Giant Robo."

In episode 12, Keima making a big leap on the school roof is a reference to "Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo", known in English as "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time", and it's movie cover.

In episode 12, when Keima is protesting against cliche games, one of the followers raises up a sign reading "No more osananajimi!" which means "No more childhood friends!" The picture with an X over it on the sign is of Akari and Hiroyuki from To Heart, the most famous example of childhood friends in a most famous dating sim.

In episode 12, where all the the Chibi Keimas are brainstorming in the mountains, one of them appears dressed as Snufkin from The Moomins.

In Episode 12, when Katsuragi Keima is deliberating on what is an ideal gal game is, the scene being shown is a parody of the anime movie "Kidou Senshi Gundam~Gyakushuu no Char."
