The title of the show is read "Gundam Double Zeta."
Yoshiyuki Tomino once said that he noticed that Gundam ZZ's prequel, Zeta Gundam "was making people sad," and to make people happy again, he created this show because, according to him, "watching anime should make people happy, not sad."
The second half of this show was rewritten to accommodate the story of the movie Char's Counterattack.
Char Aznable was due to make a return in this series, but the appearance was cancelled when Yoshiyuki Tomino (writer/director) green-lighted the movie entitled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counter Attack".
Elpeo Ple's name is in reference to the defunct Japanese lolita manga magazine, Lemon People (nicknamed L-people)
In Episode 7, the Agama was being restocked for resources, and a few of the crates had the label "Bandai" on them. Bandai, is obviously, the name of the Company which is associated with everything Gundam related.
In Episode 31,around 10:00 until 10:30 as mentioned by Judau Ashta,you can hear Adhan,an Islamic Call to Prayer.
