Trivia:

Alaya-Vijnana (Alaya-Shiki in Japanese) is Sanskrit for "All-encompassing foundation consciousness," which is taken from the Buddhist philosophy of the Eight Consciousnesses.

The Gundam-Frame suits are named after the Dukes of Hell in Demonology, with their model numbers corresponding to the demon's hierarchy in the Ars Goetia.

The North American Blu-ray release from FUNimation used the broadcast masters as opposed to the home video masters.

In episode 4, a map of the Earth shows the continent of Australia having a crater where Sydney should be. This could mean that the Post-Disaster era may be related to the Universal Century timeline, as Sydney was destroyed by a Colony drop in U.C. 0079.

In episode 24, the battle in Edmonton uses backgrounds based on actual locations in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
