Trivia:

In the opening scene from around 0:00:30-0:01:50, the film-within-a-film "Gulliver's Travell" shows Gulliver flailing alone in the ocean after a ship mast crashes into him during a severe storm. In the novel by Jonathan Swift, Gulliver and five other shipmates escape on a small boat after the ship crashes into a rock. When the small boat unfortunately capsizes, Gulliver swims for his life while the crew's whereabouts are unknown. His commentary about hope in the film is not in the novel.

Although Gulliver did visit Lilliput (a land of tiny people), Brobdingnag (a land of giants), and other places including Japan, he never went to outer space in the novel.

Well-known star patterns are depicted around 00:27:10-00:27:40. The first star pattern is the asterism known as the Big Dipper or Plough, which is followed by the constellations Cancer (crab), Cygnus (swan), Capricornus (sea-goat), Aries (ram), Taurus (bull), and Sagittarius (centaur archer). The Big Dipper ultimately reappears to form the constellation Ursa Major (also known as the Great Bear).
