The voice actor for Jirachi in the Japanese version, Tomiko Suzuki, died from a stroke on July 7th, 2003.
In the English dub, the parts where May hums the lullaby was done by her Japanese voice actress, KAORI.
In the English dub, the Japanese ending song, "Chiisaki Mono," was kept mostly intact with some of its verses sung in English. However, the English lyrics were not sung by the Japanese song's artist, Asuca Hayashi.
When the narrator is explaining the world of Pokémon, the trainer that is focused on is modeled after the male protagonist in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire.
The Pikachu short, "The Dancing Pokémon Secret Base"/"Gotta Dance" is the final mini-movie, and the only one not have Togepi in it.
