Trivia:

Episode 20: While trying to contact Heaven, Keiichi randomly dials his telephone, hoping he'll coincidentally dial Heaven's number. One of the many places of business he accidentally calls is Bandai Visual, the Japanese distributor of Ah! My Goddess TV.

Episode 25 & 26 are DVD-only episodes never intended to be shown on TV during the series initial run. They were done to improve DVD sales in Japan. This is a growing trend in Japan where OAV episodes are made for a TV-series and included with the TV-series DVDs.

Unlike the early 1990s OVA series, the TV version is considered more faithful to the original manga.

Many elements in Ah! My Goddess are directly taken from Anglo-Saxon/Norse Mythology. The most notable of these elements are the three Norn sisters (Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld) and the Yggdrasil system.

In episode 7, as Keiichi and Belldandy are shopping, some of the boxes in the background have pictures of the VF-1S Valkyrie from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross.

In episode 11, the helmet Urd wears when she's riding around is the same helmet worn by the Megaman's/Rockman's enemies, in the video games.

In episode 18, the marine-type Banpei-kun is named "Blue 6" by Skuld, a parody of Blue Submarine No.6.
