[Cream Lemon]

The anime film Project A-ko was originally written as a part of Cream Lemon (with A-ko and B-ko romantically fighting over C-ko and B-ko having a more dominatrix-styled outfit), but production was changed partway through because the anime production crew felt the story would be better suited for a mainstream film. Project A-ko was released in a double bill with the Cream Lemon film "Ami's Journey" (filed here as "Tabidachi - Ami Shusho"), which contains no pornographic content. Some nods to A-ko's origins still remain, however; the film's scene of B-ko thinking of C-ko in her outside bath was retained from the "hentai" phase of production, and part of a sex scene that was left over from the "hentai" version's completed storyboards was reused for a humorous scene of young boys watching pornography in Project A-ko 3: Cinderella Rhapsody. C-ko can also be seen in the background of the Cream Lemon episode "Narisu Scramble", and some Cream Lemon characters (notably Ami and the protagonists of "Pop Chaser") can be seen in a few brief scenes of the original Project A-ko film.
