Trivia:

In chapter 14, Pinocchio offers Franco a "Scorpion," which ADV Manga's edition erroneously footnotes as a reference to a make of silencer. In fact, he's talking about the gun on the rack, which Aurora picks up at the end of the chapter. It's a Czech model 61 Scorpion (or "Skorpion" in Czech) machine pistol.

Several cars are featured in this Manga. Two of the known ones are a 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta (spelled Julietta in the Manga) and a newer version of the Mini Cooper (2004 - Present.) The Mini Cooper is featured in Volume 1, and belongs to Elenora of Section 1. The Alfa Romeo is featured in Volume 3, and belongs to Franca of Padania.

The film that Claes and Jean watch in Volume 4 is titled "A River Runs Through It" (1992) starring Brad Pitt, Craig Sheffer, Tom Skerritt, Brenda Blethyn, and Emily Lloyd. The love of fly fishing between brothers is one of the movie's main themes. It was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Cinematography, Original Music Score, and for Best Adapted Screenplay.

In Volume 5, Chapter 26, Claes is wearing a T-Shirt with an emblem reading "HK53 5.56 X 45". The HK53 is an actual rifle/submachine gun hybrid that is, in essence, the "bigger brother" of the HK MP5 which is Claes' primary weapon.

In chapter 63, the terrorist has a monstrous 20 mm version of Mechem NTW-20 anti-material sniper rifle. The rifle has an effective range of 1500+ meters, yet it is positioned 2450 meters from its target, almost a kilometer beyond its normal range. Even the smaller, longer-ranged 14.5 mm version rifle has an effective range of 2300+ meters.
